| In fall 2002, Dean and Kellie found the remodeling of their home had spilled piles of tattered remains into their yard. These remains were accompanied by mechanical projects that Dean was working on. A once beautiful landscape had become a qualified mess. The couple jokingly dubbed their property the "Ghetto". Kellie painted a "Ghetto" sign depicting images representing the 5 members of their immediate family and their pets. Dean hung the sign at the entrance to their property where it hangs today. As the news of Dean's skills for repairing watercraft and ATV's traveled, his mechanical projects grew in numbers. People sought out his abilities showing up at the "Ghetto" from as far away as Nashville. It became apparent to the Goodall's that they needed to become "legit". They decided to include the "Ghetto" name in their business name, as it indicated the hard work and real beginning of their business. In August 2003, GhettoWorks Corporation (GWC) was formed. Business prospered in the "Ghetto" while Dean and Kellie maintained full-time jobs elsewhere. Eventually it became overwhelming as a part-time venture. Dean went full-time at GWC in 2004. In 2005, GWC applied for a dealer agreement with SeaDoo/BRP. To their delight, they were awarded the agreement in late April 2005. The Goodall's moved operations to Heber Springs, Arkansas at what used to be the "Funland" amusement park. Business has thrived for GWC positioned about 1/2 mile south of DamSite Marina on Highway 25B. GhettoWorks Corporation altered it's name slightly in early 2009 to make it a little more clear what GhettoWorks stood for. With an overwhelming response to keep the "Ghetto" name, GhettoWorks Corporation became GhettoWorks Marine & More! Now, GhettoWorks offers sales and service of new SeaDoo Personal Watercraft and Sport Boats as well as a line of new SeaArk Aluminum Boats and new Evinrude Outboard Engines. We offer a fully equipped Service Department and Parts Department for all your marine maintenance needs; we service most brands of personal watercraft as well as boats and ATVs from SeaDoo to Kawasaki to Yamaha and more!. All kinds of cool accessories are stocked from jewelry, t-shirts, life vests to wet suits and boat/watercraft covers, wakeboards, kneeboards, tubes and towables and so much more.
